Can you play Rocket League in a browser?
Rocket League has no native browser/WebGL edition. Psyonix ships a client for Windows and consoles; cloud streaming is a different way to access that client. RocketGoal is a separate browser game from PocketHaven, linked here at its official website.

Where Rocket League actually runs
Wikipedia and the Steam page list PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, plus older macOS and Linux builds. Steam says the last macOS and Linux online patch was 10 Mar 2020. After that, those versions kept offline and split-screen only.
The store minimums list 20 GB of available storage, DirectX 11 and a recommended controller. The storage figure is not a current measured download size. New PC players download through Epic; the Steam listing is for legacy owners. Cloud-streaming a native game is also different from a native browser/WebGL edition.
What you can play in a tab instead
RocketGoal is the PocketHaven game, free in the browser. CarBall.io is a CrazyGames title by Crow Brow Games, released April 2024. Rocket Soccer Derby is on Poki and is marked desktop only. None of these is the Psyonix client.
| Option | Install | Online modes you should expect |
|---|---|---|
| Rocket League | Native client; store minimums list 20 GB available storage | 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, plus extra modes on the official client |
| RocketGoal | No, browser build | Practice, online, Competitive 1v1 and 3v3, party up to 6 |
| Rocket Soccer Derby | No, but desktop browsers only | Quick match and leagues on Poki |
The phone game is also not a browser port
Rocket League Sideswipe is the official mobile game. It is 2D, it launched worldwide on 29 Nov 2021, and you get it through the phone stores, not by opening rocketleague.com in Safari.
